My first problem was between chapter 1 and chapter 2. Their is a timeskip and you are suddenly in a new situation. It is not until a couple of chapters in that the situation is explained.
Their is a couple of pages dealing with the hero vs normal forms but they quickly forget about it.
By the end of the book quite a few characters have the issue of not being able to tell them apart from the others.
