He looks up at me with a quizzical look. “What are you talking about? It’s me, Vicki.”
I say nothing. Instead, I gesture for ‘Vicki’ to look at himself. With heavy confusion, he looks himself over. The confused look turning slowly to shock and horror.
“What the hell happened to me?!” The buck shouts loudly as he shoots to a standing position. Instead of human feet in shoes, he stands on hooves at the end of bipedal deer legs.
“Chase?! What’s going on here?”
“I have no idea! Are you really Vicki?”
“Of course, it’s me. How else would I know your name?”
I stand in surprised silence. I open my mouth but find that I cannot push out any words. Vicki stands and looks himself over. His eyes are wide and maw agape. He looks up at me, as if asking what happened, I was just as clueless. I regain myself and go to speak, but a sharp pain cripples me momentarily. Causing me to double over and hold my stomach. Vicki reaches a hand out to me. “Are you alright?” He asks with concern heavy in his tone.
