In a room star star star star halfstar

The sign reads

"Welcome all new travellers.

To continue you must go through a series of doors.

After going through you will pick a costume. You will then become a half- human and half that creature.

After a week(100 mins a hour,20 hrs a day,10 days a week) has passed you may morph and get another costume. To start of with you will only be able to become 40% human to 60% human.

If you put on a costume you will then become that creature, be teleported to it's home town and have to wait a week before being able to morph.

After 50 costumes you may change into one of your other costumes and become 30% to 70% human. When changing costumes you must wait at least an hour before you can change costumes again.

100 different species/gender costumes allows you to gender-morph and become 20% to 80% human

200 different species costumes allows you to combine costumes and become 10% to 90% human

400 different species costumes allows you to return to your world with no more morphing

And 800 different species costumes makes a polymorph and allows you to morph outside of this world.

Also if you have a costume like a centaur then the human part will always be human and is counted towards the human percentage.

Any gender/species transformation magic of yours can only change your gender(if you have at least 100 costumes) and the animal part to a different animal.

When you change into a different costume (that you already have) you may teleport to that species home town but you will have the week penalty where you have no costume changes.

If you die while wearing a costume you will be reborn at the local inn (or appropriate location ). If you have more then 100 costumes you will lose the costume you had when you died and go to an appropriate place for your next costume.

If you fail to make it out in 100 years(100 weeks in a year) one of your possible forms will be chosen and you will be permanently stuck in that form(apart from magic) until you die. Also there will be no possibility of going back to your world.

Also, one final note: should you take a female form and become pregnant, you won't be able to change your gender until the child is born, though the other aspects of your form may change (the child will change to match.) That is all, and good luck!

You realise that you have to do what the sign said to do and go through the doors and grab a costume.

Alternatively you could use the key system to determine the room

Kitsune star star star emptystar emptystar

You grab the Kitsune costume.

All of a sudden every other costume disappears.

As there is nothing else to do you put on the costume that you grabbed.

As you look at it you release it is a Kitsune.

The changes start almost immediately as a mirror appears for you to watch the transformation.

The tails suddenly gain more mass and you can feel them.

Your body then bonds to your fur and you can feel the air rushing through your fur.

You feel your mouth and nose stretch into your muzzle.

You go blind temporally as your eyes change.

Since the costume was male, you anticipate what comes next, but it's still a shock for you. There is a pulling sensation in your groin, and you look down just in time to watch the new organs form. As you are looking down, you notice your breast disappear. The final changes take place as your hips shrink and your smooth brown hair shortens and becomes reds.

The last are your ears moving up and become pointy like a fox's.

Finally, it's done, and you are a handsome kitsune.

New Knowlege emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You find that you’ve acquired a goodly bit of instinctual knowledge of your new form, and even a little bit about the world this form belongs in. You know that you’re a kitsune -- a kind of fox-spirit found in Japanese cultures -- and that kitsune are tricksters. Not malicious ones; rather, kitsune tricks are intended to be educational, teaching their victims about themselves. Which doesn’t mean the victim will necessarily enjoy the experience, of course... but you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, now can you?

Disguise And new Home star star halfstar emptystar emptystar

You try to disguise your self as human but it seems the costumes is not letting you become fully human. So there goes the disguise option. Still you might be able to make people think you are human with illusion magic or something other then transformation magic.

Still if you remember the rules you should of been provided a house and a job but you seem to have no clue where to go. Just as you think you notice a quadruped fox through the trees. Following the fox you see the 2 tails on it. When you lose it you find yourself in a hidden village in the forest.

Your House star star halfstar emptystar emptystar

Listening to your new instincts you go up to a house and letting a bit of magic go the door opens and you find a hut with a few books about kitsune magic. Reading them is like taking a refresher course in a subject you got top grades in, but haven’t thought about in many, many years.

After reading you are surprised as the transformation spell should allow you to be much more human then you were. However, the reason is soon clear to you: As a Kitsune, you don’t want to be 100% human!

It would be a humiliating step down for you.

9 tailed boss star star star emptystar emptystar

As you browse their is a knock on the door and opening it you see a nine-tailed kitsune. Your instinctive knowledge tells you that this one outranks a mere three-tail like you, and then some!

“So you are the new guy in the world?” she says looking around “And you have a nice spell-book collection as well”

“Apparently so, Nine-Tails. It’s an excellent stroke of good fortune.”

She nods “Most of the costume wearers get a collection. Yours is probably on the high end of those.” After a short pause, she casually adds, “Of course, mine was bigger.”

“Wait, your a costume wearer?”

“I was, but when I found this one, I decided to stay with it. How many costumes have you had?” she asks.

“This is my second, but I’ve been transformed several times by magic other than the costume,” you reply. “I liked being an otter...”

“That sounds interesting. This is my 10th costume; my first nine were all boring animals. I think that was over 500 costumeverse years ago though. It is hard to work out the cotumeverse time from the local time. Oh were you male or female to start of with?”

Female star star star halfstar emptystar

“Female, it was either take this costume or turn into a plant.”

“Ouch. I started off male. I think I will be able to help you with the changes, both gender and species. At least you have some experience with magic so that makes training easier in that department.”

“So what can we find for you to do until you are ready to move on?”

You shrug. “Like you said, us kitsune are tricksters. So I might as well find some people whose lives I can mess with.”

She nods. “Just be careful and only do it to people who deserve it”

Does any human *not* deserve it? star star star emptystar emptystar

Smiling, you reply, “Does any human *not* deserve it?”

“A few of them are good, but most do deserve at least some messing with”

“Of course.” And then you vanish, using the innate kitsune ability to teleport to whichever victim is most in need of your attentions...

Okay, you don’t actually go anywhere. Innate abilities or not, kitsune just don’t seem to be able to teleport. Turning invisible is definitely on the menu, however! So you leave the Ninetails’ presence, unseen, in search of some hapless human you can have fun with.

To the village emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You find the path to the village easily despite the camouflage. And you find a big festival going on. Honoring kitsunes? Looking closer you see lots of humans wearing hats with ears and tails as well. Well this is handy for disgusing youself. You could just appear to be in costume.

And soon your in the village. Borrowing a hat from a overpriced stall your disguise is complete

Now to wander around and listen to find someone who deserves a prank. and so you move from stall to stall and hear about a farmer who is shooting foxes who he sees. Clearly, this farmer is in dire need of the kind of education only a kitsune can provide!

You quickly get over to his farm and see the fox skins on the fence, to confirm that this is the right place. Of cause the farmer is at the festivle and not home. Very well; you get the farmer’s scent -- it’s all over this place, after all -- and return to the celebration to teach a much-needed lesson.

Found Him emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Your victim-to-be is selling his produce and it is much cheaper then the others too. His stall is far apart from any other farmer’s stall; apparently, none of his competitors are willing to set up shop near him. And while he’s doing more business than the rest, you quickly realize that unlike the other farmers, none of the killer’s customers stay around for longer than it takes to choose their goods and pay for them.

So even the other humans do not like him. Well, maybe he just needs friends. He’s clearly not feeling the spirit of this festival; no ears or tail on him! It would be a kindness, really, if you were to remedy this lapse on his part... In less time than it takes to tell, you’ve put a glamour on him, an illusion which even he himself thinks is real: He now has a proper pair of fox ears, and an elegant fox tail.

Immediatly he looks around shocked and he reaches behind to try and feel the tail. And the other villagers are laughing at him “I told you the kitsunes would get you!” This strikes you as a good excuse to upgrade the glamour on your victim; whatever he may have intended to say in response, it comes out sounding like the inarticulate barks and yips of a mundane fox.

This makes the rest of the villagers burst out in laughter even more stronger then before. He barks and yowls his displeasure. The commotion draws even more of the village to see him. You feel your magic increase as more and more people see what is going on. You keep adding to your glamour, making him look, sound, smell, and think he’s becoming more and more vulpine, more and more like a feral fox.

By the time you‘re done, he is curled up underneath his stall, shivering and twitching at every noise.

You look up at the sky and and realise it is almost dark and thus time to go back to your home. You go back and tell the 9-tails all about your prank. She smiles and asks “And your new body is not giving you any trouble?”

“Trouble? No,” you reply. “It’s different than I’m used to, but I wouldn’t say any of the differences are bad. Just... um... different?”

She nods “yeah it can be rough, I remember looking at the men from the village and being spooked when I found them attractive. Has that happened to you?”

No I don emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

“No I don’t think so, I was focusing on the prank not the other people”

She nods “If you have any troubles just come to me” before she walks off.

You then head to your house and sleep the night.

You wake up as a beam of sunlight filters through the trees and into your window. Such a normal thing, for a supernaturally-powered creature to do...

To the village emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

And now to the village to do more pranks. And you can still feel some of the power from yesterday. Come to think of it, that’s interesting; since when does your own power depend on, or get affected by, the behavior of other people? Curious, that. And worth investigating!

Well maybe the 9-tails would know. Of cause you would have to find her first. But she was there when you came to the village the 1st time and when you returned. So if you prank the human village again maybe she will meet you tonight.

So you cast a glamour on yourself and head to the humans again. When you arrive in the village, you find no trace of the festival from yesterday. Wait -- no traces, not even loose bits of trash or footprints? They cleaned everything up that fast? How is that possible? Or... maybe the festival was an illusion on a grand scale? A nine-tails would surely be able to pull off a glamour of such size and complexity.

But how did you get power as the villagers saw your glamor. More questions for her tonight. But for now, someone needs a prank. There’s a victim out there, just waiting for you to mess with their mundane existence, and all you have to do is find them! Of cause not a lot of people are in the village, most people are out working the fields.

Disguise emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

And you can’t really join them in the fields. At least not appearing as a kitsune, you can’t -- the humans will treat you like some kind of god, and that’s not what you want -- and you can’t be human, at least not entirely. Even if you could, it’s a small town; everybody knows everybody else, so whether you impersonate a villager (and risk revealing your imposture by screwing up on something they’d know and you don’t), or show up as a stranger (in which case the villagers will probably clam up around you), it won’t help...

Of course: You can change your body -- turn into a perfectly normal four-legged fox. Okay, a perfectly normal four-legged fox with three tails, but you can hide the extras with a glamour. And the villagers like foxes, don’t they?

You duck behind a building and after checking you shift into a feral form. Or at least you try but like assuming human form you find yourself not able to do a full shift. Your instincts are telling you that is should be possible to go fully fox but something is stopping you from doing so.

Illusion Disguise emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Still nothing stopping you from appearing to be a full fox even if you can’t actually be one. If your careful that is. So you do so and you now appear to be a small fox, easy to spy on the people in the fields.

Once your in the fields you immediately notice one of the humans is telling everyone what to do and getting it wrong too. Yep he is deserving of something. You start by making a glamor on his holes to make it seem the dirt has moved back into the hole. You grin watching him try to re dig the hole many many times.

Keep Watching emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Soon he gives up and tries to dig a new hole which you treat the same way -- in fact, this time the hole appears to fill itself in while he’s watching. He then looks around to try and see the source of this interference. He even looks right at you -- but of course all he sees is a perfectly normal fox, so his eyes pass right over you.

You notice the other villagers have noticed and a quietly snickering an once again you find your power increasing although not as big a jump as yesterday. Well, a lot of the people saw you in action yesterday; perhaps you just can’t get power from any one person more than once? Either that or you still had a bit of power from them.

You look up and notice the sun right above you. Midday, still a couple of hours till afternoon and time to go back to your home. Maybe you could have fun with this guy or move onto another person.

Your decision however is interrupted by a loud rumble from your stomach. food before you do anything else.

Steal a chicken emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

The solution is obvious: You’re a fox, and these people are farmers. Grab a chicken or two!

You set off towards the town to look for some and you see them. You grin and take one and wolf it down and a couple more before setting back off to the fields.

Of cause by the time you are back the farmers have returned to the village for their lunch.

Think emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Well plenty of time to think about this new world.

If people see you perform pranks you gain power. So if you performed lots of pranks then lots of people would see you and you would get a lot more power.

But that means travel away from this human village and the kitsune's village and your home. Still you have done it once before.

Prank the leader emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

While your thinking you see the farmers returning. So which one are you going to prank now?
One of the farmers catches your eye; he seems to be a leader, judging by his self-important mannerisms. Fine: Let’s see how well he leads when he can’t say a damned thing!

The villages look to him. Surprisingly you get lots of power from the people this time. Maybe pranks on non deserving people get you more power. You keep watching and getting more power until the sun sets.

You return to the village and the 9-tailed is their waiting for you. “I see you have done a lot of pranking today.Do you have any question about kitsunes?”
