My biggest problem with the story is the setting is restarted 3 times before we get to the main story. First we have the main characters life in the city getting bullied. Their is no conclusion to this storyline. Then they get kidnapped and resolve it in a chapter or so. Then finally we get into the main story
Then we get to the main character themselves. They don't seem to make any real decision for themselves, only do what they are told to do by others. (Also when you introduce a secondary character you should introduce them before they are refered to). Then we get to the numbers go up part of the story which seems to the be the only point of the next few chapters.
OVerall I gave up 19% into the book
