While most of the transformations content are only on the side , their is one that is part of the main plot
While the movie has changed a bit and made it better in some ways it is an mostly accurate adaptation
The story is a pretty standard "boy goes on quest to impress girl he loves" and has adventures along the way to discover himself
Their are at least 3 transformations. Goat, Girl, Mouse, Human. With each of them getting some time to explore them
Overall though this is not a book you would read for the transformations but for the story
