My biggest problem with the story is we are dropped right into the story without the characters getting established.
Transformation wise their is two. A fox-human shifter who is trying to become permanently a fox. The main story is someone turning into a gargoyle. But their is not much contrast between the forms.
Overall I think it needed another book before this one
