Magical Creatures Academy 1: Night Shifter

My biggest problem with the story is the stakes are so low that it does not matter, until near the end where it suddenly is much higher

It is also inconsistent, we are told their are only one mountain lion shifter and then suddenly their are more. (not counting one that appears later. I am counting ones they know about).

Then their is no real exploration of what the academy is like. The minor characters are introduced and ignored

Overall not much to recommend here
