An old story this week. This one was written in 1994.
First the bad point. The ending is sudden and leaves many of the plot points open. Having said that this is still a decent story
The mental changes are excellent. While the main character is in the animal form it does seem like his thoughts have changed to matched as well.
The setting actually seems like it is Australia rather then any country in the world.
- Family has moved to grandparent's place after the father has left to go to England.
- Main character (one of the children) deals with a gang while human
- He also meets a fox spirit who transforms him into a fox.
The most notable thing about the mental changes , while he is a fox he does not care about the human world. When he changes back at least once their is regret about what happened.
In conclusion a good book with excellent mental changes let down by a poor ending
