You enter the room and begin your experiments. soon you have the spells written on the floor, the walls, the roof , yourself but not in the blank book. and you have also managed to do the copy in reverse so now you have 2 blank books.

 

You take the books back out. "You were right, it is a lot harder then it seems. and I’m sorry about your room"

 

"What happened to it?"

 

"Nothing -- but I kind of ruined the paint job."

 

The sphinx does not respond to that, perhaps because she’s afraid that you might answer her if she asked you for details. Just then you have a brainstorm: If spells must be copied out by hand, having extra hands to do the copying will make it all go so much faster!
