Reality Hopping
In this story you can hop between realities following these rules:
No more then
- 1 a Day
- 6 a Week
- 20 every 4 weeks
- 50 every 12 weeks
- 180 every 48 weeks
These measurements are based on your home reality.
Your home reality is the one where you start your journey from.
When you hop to another reality you switch your mind with anybody who is there already.
If you hop to a different reality then your home reality from another reality then:
Reality 3 contains you.
Reality 2 contains the person from reality 3
Your home reality contains the person from reality 2
If someone dies then the person whose reality he/she home reality changes to that of the person who died. (Using the example above , if the person in your home reality dies your home reality becomes reality 2. If the person in reality 2 dies then the home reality of the person from reality 2 becomes
3.)

Death and a new life
You wake up and find yourself in a room with just a bed. Their is not even a closet or a door, it's just the bed. You sit up and look around you. There is nothing else in the room besides you. You have no idea where you are. You're confused and a little scared.
"Hello" a voice whispers from behind you. You turn to see a light floating above your head. "I'm here to help you" the voice says.
You jump back in fright. "Who are you ?" you ask, looking around again for anything else.
The voice chuckles. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." The voice sounds so comforting and reassuring.
"Where am I?" you ask.
"You are between worlds" the voice answers. "You died in your world and are here to decide where you are going next."
You stand up and look around. "How do I get out of here?" you ask.
"You will need to make a choice of your next life." The voice tells you. "I can help you choose if you wish."
You look down at the ground and think about it. "What can you offer me? What would I want to be?" you ask.
The voice chuckles. "Well, that depends. Do you want an easy life or a hard life with a lot more potential for instance?"
"So low risk low reward or high risk high reward?" you ask.
The voice chuckles again. "Or something in between? Then their are race choices. Stay human or become something else, even something more exotic"
You furrow your brow. "That is a lot of things to consider."
The voice chuckles. "Their are a lot of things. How about I give you a number of categories and you can pick a number 1 to 5.
Tech Level, Magic Level, Exotic level of the World Race , Exotic level of Your Race, Risk Level

"What about if I wanted to go back home " you ask.
"That is not possible" the voice says. "Their is no room for you to return"
You sigh and shake your head. "I guess I need to make a choice then." You sit on the bed and close your eyes.

"I will choose 3 for all the categories" you tell the voice.
You open your eyes and there is a portal in front of you. It glows a bright blue and you step through it.
You wake up in a bedroom. This one at least has a door and closet. You lift the sheets and find out what you are now. The first thing you notice is the fur covering your body. You look over and see a large tail growing from your rear. Under the fur on your chest is a small set of breasts. You stand up to get a better look. You look like a young fox standing on their hind legs, and looking closer you find it is a vixen not a todd. You touch your face and feel your muzzle and your ears twitch.
"Oh my god" you gasp.
The ball of light reappears "I hope this life is what you were looking for" the voice chimes.
"I am a girl" you say.
The voice chuckles again "And, this is a problem? It matches what your choices"
"I am a guy" you say.
"You were a human guy. Now you are are a vixen. You did pick options that are open to more of a change that what you had before"
You frown and nod. "So, this is my life now?"
"Yes, you have been reborn into this new world. It is roughly the same as Japan back in your old world, but their are a lot more species in the world, along with a lot more magic"
"Magic?" you ask.
"It would be about the same level at the tech as your old world. So a lot of what would be tech in your world is handled by magic here but not all"
"Any shapeshifting magic?" you ask hopefully.
"Yes. some races have inbuilt magic talent. But it takes a long time to master so don't expect much to start with"
"Foxes have shapeshifter powers?" you ask.
"No. but you are not a fox , you are a kitsune"
You frown. "A what?"
"Kitsune are fox spirits. They are known for their trickery and ability to shape shift.
Of course that takes a lot of time to learn and it is not something that is easy to do. A lot of them never manage it"
You shrug
"What about other races?" you ask.
"In this world their are many races. Human of course. Elves ,dwarf and other uncommon ones. Then the slightly more exotic ones, kitsune, tengu etc."
"Tengu?" you ask.
"They are a race of bird people. They are very rare. They are said to live in the mountains and forests. But you need to get started with your new life"
You sigh and sit down on the bed "Do you have any recommendations? What should I do?"
"Well, you have a few choices. First, you can go to the nearest town and try to find a job. The other is to find someone to teach you magic. You could also just go live in the woods. You will need to hunt for food and you may have to fight off monsters and such"

I would like to learn magic
"I would like to learn magic" you say.
The voice chuckles "Most people do. In this world you will need to attract the attention of someone who will teach you about it "
You frown and shake your head. "I am not sure how to go about doing that"
"Well you have a bit of magical talent from your race, so you should focus on showing that. Go to the nearest city and sneak into one of the wizard's homes as a fox"
"I thought you said I was not a fox?" you ask.
"You are not a fox. But you have the magic to shapeshift into one"
You frown. "I don't want to do that. I am a human"
"You were a human. Now you are a vixen. While I don't recommend forgetting what you were, you need to accept what you are now"
You frown and nod. "Okay" you say. "So I go to the city and find a wizard?"
"Yes, but not any wizard. Find one who is willing to teach you. There are only a few wizards in the world and they tend to keep to themselves. But you can find them by asking around. Someone will know where to find one"
You frown and sigh. "I guess I'll go ask then" you say.
"Good luck" the voice says.
You stand up and head out the door. Taking a deep breath you try to calm yourself for what is beyond. The other room of the house is a kitchen and living area. There is a table and chairs, along with a couch and television. The kitchen has an oven and fridge. Overall basic and nothing that stands out. Leaving the house you notice that their is no locks on the door. The village you are in is small, only a few homes in the center of fields of crops. As you walk you hear the sounds of a dog barking. You look around and see a large black and white dog chasing a ball. You smile and wave to the dog. He stops and looks at you before he barks again.
"Sorry" says the human nearby "I know dogs don't like kitsune, but I am trying to teach him that you are friendly."
You bow your head. "No problem. I just wanted to greet him" you say.
"He is a good dog. He will bark if there is trouble but he doesn't bite. Just don't let him play too rough with you"
"Thanks" you say.
The man walks over to you and pats your head. "So do you think you will stay in our village? I know we don't have much but a kitsune would be a good addition to the people here"
You look up at him. "I really don't know" you say "I am looking to learn magic and I don't think their is anyone here who can teach me."
The man shakes his head "That's unfortunate. Well if you do decide to stay, you should come by my house. My name is Regan. I will be happy to help you."
You bow your head. "Thank you" you say.
"Don't mention it" he replies.
You leave the village and head towards the forest beyond the fields. It is a nice day and you enjoy the sun on your face. Once you are in the forest you start to relax and feel more comfortable. You have been exploring for a few hours when you hear a sound. You turn around and see a figure standing in the trees. She is wearing a black robe and has her hands behind her back. Her hair is long and dark and she is beautiful.
"Hello" you say.
She turns around and smiles "Hi" she says. "Are you lost?"
You shake your head "Nope, I am exploring the forest."
She nods. "I see" she says. "Do you like it here?"
You shrug. "It is nice. I am looking for someone who can help me with my magic" you reply.
"Oh?" she asks.
You nod. "I was told that I would need to find a wizard to learn magic" you say.
She smirks. "A wizard huh? Pale imitators of the natural world. They are all frauds"
You furrow your brow. "What makes you say that?"
She shakes her head. "They try to study us to learn new spells. We have our magic and don't need to study"
You furrow your brow. "You talk like we are the same" you say.
"We are" she replies.
You shake your head. "I am a kitsune and you are a human"
"This is what you could be." she says and shifts into a male human " A master of illusion. "
You take a step back and gasp. "You're not a human!"
She laughs. "Of course I'm a human. What about me looks like I am not?"
You shake your head. "I mean...you look like a human, but humans can't do that."
She smiles and shifts into a fox "Nope. Well maybe some can after long study. This is my true form" she says showing of her multiple tails.
"Wow" you murmur.
She giggles. "Yeah, wow."
You smile shyly and look away. "So how can I do what you do?" you ask.
"You will need to earn your tails," she replies. "You must prove yourself worthy."
"How do I do that?" you ask.
She takes your hand and leads you through the woods. She pulls you into a cave.
"This is a dungeon, prove yourself worthy by getting to the end of it, and that should earn your second tail" she says.
"How do I get to the end?" you ask.
She grins and she disappears. "That's the fun part" she says. "Now go"
