Reality Hopping star star star emptystar emptystar

In this story you can hop between realities following these rules:

No more then

These measurements are based on your home reality.

Your home reality is the one where you start your journey from.

When you hop to another reality you switch your mind with anybody who is there already.

If you hop to a different reality then your home reality from another reality then:

Reality 3 contains you.
Reality 2 contains the person from reality 3
Your home reality contains the person from reality 2

If someone dies then the person whose reality he/she home reality changes to that of the person who died. (Using the example above , if the person in your home reality dies your home reality becomes reality 2. If the person in reality 2 dies then the home reality of the person from reality 2 becomes
3.)

Tyler emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Tyler was sitting on a park bench, reading a novel. It was a personal favorite pastime of his; he got to feel the sun shine down on him, hear the birds singing, and of course watch all the dogs being walked. Who didn't love seeing some happy dogs? There were other reasons he chose to read out in the park, one of which was because he was a helpless romantic. The 23-year-old hadn't had a date since his junior prom in high school, and he wanted to get back out there. He had a whole lot of love to give with no one to give it to.

He did have a few things going against him. Tyler was quite the shy fellow, and never made the first move. His date to junior prom had happened quite by accident, namely through a lack of communication. Tyler and his "date" didn't hit it off, and spent most of the time away from each other and drinking virgin drinks from the little bar the venue had. It wasn't a fun time for either.

So, Tyler would always read in public places in hopes of someone approaching him to talk about the book he was reading. It had worked once, somewhat. The woman who talked to him was happily married with children. This had been going on for a few weeks, and it was getting to a point where he was ready to move on and try something else. Perhaps get into online dating, it'd make it easier to meet people guaranteed. That is assuming the two parties would successfully trade messages consistently.

Before abandoning his reading idea, Tyler decided he would try it for one more week, reading a different book each time. Today, he had opted for a novel called "Ten Little Scoundrels" by a casual writer turned novelist. Tyler's idea of reading involved looking at the middle of the book to make it seem like he was far in and invested. If they wanted to talk about any point in the book, he'd just reply with a "I want to wait until I'm done to avoid spoilers." That did work with the married woman from earlier, so it's worked every time so far. Tyler sat down and randomly went to the middle of the book as he feigned reading.

"Excuse me, is that Ten Little Scoundrels you're reading?" a woman's voice asked, Tyler surprised that this plan actually worked.

"Why yes it is! Very good one so far."

"I know! And how about that part where Liz-"

Tyler held up his hand hastily. "No spoilers! I'd like to save discussion until I get through it all. Seems very much like the book to do that for."

"You got me there. I'm Lisa by the way." she said with a smile, holding out her hand.

"Tyler, it's a pleasure." he answered with a smile and handshake.

"What brings you to the park to read anyways? Why not a library or at home?"

"Well, I like seeing some dogs." Tyler replied back with a laugh. "Can't see excited dogs in libraries."

"Guess that's a good reason for it!" Lisa giggled along with Tyler.

The two chatted for a good while, about an hour passing. Tyler was enjoying her company quite a bit. However, he was also getting worried. Did she feel the same way or was she just passing time? Did she think they were hitting it off like Tyler thought they were? He decided to prod the romantic waters even if it meant it could end the interaction.

"Say...I hate to be upfront like this but, are you seeing anyone right now?" Tyler asked twiddling his thumbs nervously.

"Aside from the people who walked by no." she replied with a wave of her hand. "Why's that? You liking what you see?" Lisa added with a giggle.

"Oh I uh...y-yes?" Tyler said rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry for being super forward it's uh, it's been a while since I talked to a girl in this way."

"Here then," Lisa said taking out an old receipt and pen from her purse and wrote something down. "My number for future reference."

"J-jeez, thanks!" Tyler was feeling quite ecstatic now.

"Say, I'm going to check out this new bar that recently opened. I think it was called ‘A New Dive’, care to come with me?" she asked with a smirk.

"Yeah, totally!" Tyler shook his head up and down. "Kinda early don't you think?"

"What are you talking about? It's already 5! By the time we get there it'll be 6. Perfect time to start getting hammered no?"

"I-I'll take your word for it!" Tyler said with a chuckle. "Did you need a ride there?"

"I won't say no to one!" Lisa laughed. "My little Uber driver."

Tyler blushed a little bit as he took Lisa's hand, going to his car and making their way to the bar.

"What's so special about this bar anyways?" Tyler asked over to his passenger.

"I don't really know, they didn't really advertise it much." Lisa replied. "I just feel like getting some drinks if I'm being honest."

"Can't argue with that!" Tyler chuckled.

Soon enough, they arrived at the bar's location, the door's seemingly just having opened. There was a small crowd of people there already, the small handful going in after the bar opened it's doors. Lisa let out a small groan.

"Dang it, I wanted to be the first one in. Ah well, let's go inside anyways."

"Sorry, traffic wasn't our friend today." Tyler said back with a small frown.

The two got out of the car and went into the doors before Tyler realized he forgot his wallet in his car. "Dang it..." he muttered to himself. "I'll meet you inside, I gotta get something from my car."

"Sure thing, I'll save you a seat." Lisa nodded and walked into the building.

Tyler ran back down to his car before he felt someone tap his shoulder. He was a bit weirded out but gave it the benefit of the doubt and turned around. "Jack?"

"Yeah, it's Jack. Where have you been these last two years why didn't you say anything, blah blah blah." the man said to Tyler. "I don't have time for any of them and can say later, you gotta come with me."

"You don't expect me to just drop everything and go with you. I'm with a girl right now! You know how long it's been since I had a date?"

"She's not interested, she just wanted to use you to get free drinks and a free ride. I hate to break it to you." Jack said back.

"How could you say that? You haven't even seen her!"

"Listen, I don't lie, not to you or anyone because I quite frankly don't care enough to. I ran a test on her from afar. Call her Drew Barrymore cause she's just not that into you."

"Ah man...I thought we had something." Tyler said looking down. "Wait, how'd you even do that!?"

"Love is a chemical and chemicals are science. It's actually really easy. Come on though, we have to go back to my lab. I have something important you need to help me with."

"I-I guess. I should tell Lisa I'm leaving. She said she'd save me a seat." Tyler said getting ready to turn around.

"Not enough time. Come on then." Jack said wrapping his arm around Tyler and hitting a button on his watch. There was some kind of blue ball that formed around them and in an instant, they were gone from the bar's parking lot and inside a shiny laboratory.

"Ugh...couldn't you have warned me you would do that?" Tyler said shrugging Jack's shoulders off, dusting himself off.

"I didn't really want to have to wait, this is more of an urgent thing okay?" Jack said going to one of his machine, typing something into a computer. "I need your help for a while because I can't exactly do it myself."

"And why me? Couldn't you of picked anyone else?" Tyler asked back a bit confused at the whole situation.

"It won't work unless it's someone who trusts me, and believe it or not you're kinda the only person who does, so congrats?"

"Really? No one else trusts you? Don't you have like a bunch of subjects you used to use?" Tyler asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I literally just said because they don't trust me, plus I've known you all my life and I did that thing with your brother so he, you know, didn't die?" Jack retorted.

"I don't even have a brother!" Tyler rebutted.

"Then who did I give cow legs to..." Jack pondered for a moment. "Gah, never mind! There are much bigger stakes at hand!"

"You know you say that, but you haven't really said what the stakes are? Is the world in danger? A giant egg flying towards it? What?" Tyler asked starting to get annoyed.

"Well uh, yes and no." Jack said rubbing the back of his head. "There's this alternate planet and universe that's in danger and I need your help."

"And why can't they help themselves?" Tyler crossed his arms.

"Jeez Tyler, how selfish can you be? There's this woman scientists there, she stopped replying to my messages and I fear something had happened to her."

"Wait-wait-wait, this is about a girl who stopped texting you? You took me away from my date because of this!?"

"Tyler, look at me. Shut up." Jack said holding his shoulders. "I already told you she was using you for free drinks, and besides if something did happen to her then a whole world is missing their top scientists. She cured speckles! You know how hard that is to cure?"

"Uh...no? I don't think that's a word..."

"Tell that to the four people that died from it. Now, are you going to help me or not?" Jack asked shaking him.

Tyler let out a heavy sigh then nodded. "Fine...you’ve never led me wrong before. I'll do it."

"Great! Now then, things are going to get pretty complicated from here." Jack said going back to his computer.

"Quite frankly I'm all ears at this point.” Tyler said leaning on the wall.

Cockatoo emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

"You're going to have to put on this costume to er...blend in. It's a whole complicated thing where they only have animal people living there." Jack explained, what looked like a costume of a cockatoo fell down a tube. Jack got it out and handed it to Tyler. "This'll make you blend in better. Put it on. There's even some stuff that'll make it so you know what's going on in that world."

"O-okay?" Tyler said unfolding the costume. "So I just put it on then?"

"Pretty much yeah. It's not rocket science. Just biological science." Jack said back. "Just put it on then step through the portal thing."

"Seems simple enough. Okay." Tyler nodded as he put on the mask followed by the rest of the costume. "Feels kinda loose." he said through a muffled voice.

"Oh, that's because it hasn't filled out." Jack explained. "Then it'll be nice and real."

"Wait filled out? Nice and real? What are you saying?" Tyler asked confused and a bit scared.

"I only had a girl cockatoo costume and no one harasses cockatoo girls in the world you’re going to, so you really should be thanking me." Jack replied.

"Okay...but isn't it pretty obvious that I'm not an actual cockatoo girl considering nothing about me even looks like one."

"That's because it's not finished yet Tyler. Let the work finish doing it's uh...work before you criticize it, okay?

"What's left? Isn't this it? You're lame excuse for a disguise?" Tyler crossed his arm.

"You-you know what? Fine. Let's make this progress a bit faster than!" Jack said typing words into his console.

"Wait, but if you could make it faster and you want me to be there as soon as possible why didn't you make it happen as fast as possible to begin with?"

"I don't need you telling me about plot holes." he retorted. "Besides, I had to wait for you to put on the costume before anything else could happen. Also besides, I wanted you to admire my craftsmanship because quite frankly it's pretty good. Just try not to freak out about it okay?" Jack said, slapping his keyboard inputting some command.

Suddenly, Tyler felt his whole body go numb, unable to move it at all. "H-hey Jack...no hard feelings about everything okay?" he managed to spit out nervously.

"Why are you saying that? I took it like...thieves...take...things." Jack shook his head. "The gist of it is I did a good job making this special costume and you should appreciate your the one wearing the special costume because it's special." Jack added on. "Gonna say special one more time because it's that special. Special."

"Are you done?" Tyler said quite annoyed, his eyes going wide as it sounded much more higher pitched and feminine than it ever should be. "Jack...what did you do?"

"Something special." Jack shrugged.

"Stop saying special!" Tyler shouted. "Why do I sound like a girl!?"

"Fine, whatever you say." Jack shrugged. "I told you Tyler, you're going to a be a female cockatoo to keep you safer than when you would be if I sent you in as a human male. They aren't very fond of humans."

"I thought that was what the costume was for!"

"It is, to turn you into one. They're not stupid Tyler. They would tell you’re wearing a costume so there are little...things in the costume that turn you into the costume you're wearing. It's a common trope. How have you not heard of it?"

"I didn't know it was real!" Tyler responded. "That's something you see on TV or the internet!"

"Welcome to the internet Tyler. Your changes should wrap up soon enough.

As Jack said that, Tyler felt his lips and nose fusing together, pushing out to fill the black beak in the costume, soon becoming a fully functional beak. His eyelashes became elongated as the costume now blinked with his actual eyes, since they were real now. His skin fused with the costume, the feathers on it becoming all too real. His hair vanished, replaced with the yellow tipped feathers at the top of his head. His legs hardened as they became the black avian ones on the costume. Tyler's hips flared out along with his rear, tail feathers forming behind him to fill out the costume. As Tyler's skin fused with the costume, his manhood was lost in the transition. His, more appropriately her now, chest began to swell outward, forming into breasts. As it fused with the body Tyler felt the full weight of them. The wings on the back of his arms finished fusing to his actual arms as Tyler stood a full female cockatoo anthro.

Tyler stood there for a moment, completely speechless. "I-I-..." she trailed off, talking through a beak being vastly different than lips.

"Feel free to feel yourself, that's your body after all. I won't judge. Feathers do feel nice from what others told me." Jack commented.

"You've done this before, couldn't you of gotten them? I don't want to be a girl bird!"

"It's only until Cassie sends you back here, don't worry about being stuck like this. Only going to be maybe...5 months?"

"FIVE MONTHS? ARE YOU INSANE!!??" Tyler shouted. "I don't even want to be like this for 2 minutes! Change me back now!"

"You know I wish I could but...I can't?" Jack shrugged.

"Can't or won't?"

"Can't because...the costume is programed to send you to the dimension you’re supposed to belong in so...talk to you soon? There's a mic and headset built into your skull now so I can talk to you.

"What are you-" Tyler was cut off as a small orb of light formed around her body, when it diminished she was nowhere to be found.

"Hopefully she is okay...it's been a whole day since she replied to my messages..." Jack said going back to his computer.

Tyler's body dropped off in the alley of a bustling city, right next to the dumpster. She slowly got back up to her feet and dusted herself off. She looked around and noticed all the anthros walking around of varying sexes and ages, however all were clothed.

"Tyler, you there? You okay?" Jack's voice played in his head.

"Y-yeah. Thanks for your concern." Tyler said a bit annoyed. "Couldn't you have told me all of this beforehand?"

"In hindsight yeah. That's my bad. Party foul. Also I meant to give you some clothes before you got transported but we talked for too long, although that one was on you."

"Fine, whatever. Can you at least give me clothes?"

"Give me a moment." Jack said before shutting off this communicator, Tyler hearing a small beep and what sounded like a phone hanging up.

"Excuse me ma'am? Are you okay?" a man's voice said coming from the end of the alley.

"J-just fine and dandy!" Tyler said blushing harshly.

"Someone there with you telling you to say that? I'm coming to help you!" he said as Tyler heard the footsteps get closer, seeing a male otter come into his vision.

"Gah! I'm sorry!" he said putting his arms over his eyes, Tyler covering his breasts and privates despite the feathers covering them.

"Y-you can look now." Tyler said, her whole face red with embarrassment.

The otter looked back with a nervous smile. "You're still naked." he commented.

"That should be fixed soon...hopefully." she said back with a forced smile.

"I'll look away." he said turning his head. "I'm Blake by the way."

"I'm T-" she paused for a moment, realizing a girl named Tyler didn't make much sense. "Tina. I'm Tina. I'm new here." she said back nervously. As she finished, a tank top along with a bra and panties and jeans fell through a portal. "Oh thank God." she said, quickly putting on all of the clothing, the bra quite literally lifting a weight off her shoulders. "I'm in clothes now. You can look."

"Okay then...where did you get clothes?" Blake said with a raised eyebrow.

"L-long story." she said rubbing her arm.

"Why don't you tell me over dinner?" he asked. "There's this new BBQ place that opened up that looked pretty good."
