Eat the rest
You giggled for a moment, before grabbing another handful of cake and eating it. Chewing down, slowly, and savoring every bit of it. It felt nice, and tasty.
“I really surpassed myself this time.” You smiled to yourself, clearly pleased with the meal. Or dessert. Honestly, it was a bit hard to tell.
Wait, yeah, was this your breakfast? You woke up and made cake, that wasn’t breakfast. It was hardly healthy! But, as an adult, you were able to simply do this kind of thing.
“Heh, makes sense.”
Breakfast being cake. It… was an odd choice, but hey, you were an adult, you could do it. And besides, you wanted to eat it. That seemed like a reasonable thing to think of.
You found yourself eating more of the cake before you knew it. It felt… comfortable to you. The food tasted nicely. It tasted good. And wow, you did a better job than you thought.
Still, the idea of doing something for your neighbors remained in you, only now you’d probably need to prepare something else, which would mean work, which meant you were feeling like procrastinating it.
That wasn’t exactly a good thing. Procrastinating on doing stuff. But you did it more than once, enough times that you found it comfortable. Putting it off until later.
Or… or something. Well, you weren’t sure what to think right now. The only thing you could think of was that you wanted to eat the cake. It was half eaten already.
Maybe you should finish the job. How easy would it be? Surprisingly easy. You just had to… eat.
And yeah, you did just that. Ate the rest of the cake. By the end of it, you licked your lips, patting your stomach.
Which now meant that you were doing nothing. And someone like you needed stuff to do. Like, like… watching TV, or taking a nap, or other stuff. Maybe using a computer—you had one, the only issue was that using it with your hooves was a bit difficult.
Difficult enough that you weren’t sure you wanted to give it a shot in the first place. But maybe it was the thing you needed to get rid of all this boredom in you.
…Yeah, boredom. You were bored. You needed something to do right now. And as you thought about it, you decided that maybe getting out of the house would be that “something”. It felt like a good choice. You wanted to do it.
Sure, this would also mean talking with your neighbors. Maybe that way you’d find something they liked doing, or eating, and it would be the next step in your plans.
Alright, your mind was set right now. Leave the house, meet people, make friends. Three things which were, as far as you could tell, simple. Were they, though?
Maybe, maybe not. You wouldn’t be able to tell unless you actually tried, though.
