House
Your eyes widen as you see something in front of you, it's a small house and its windows are covered by black curtains. You can't even make out what it is that you're looking at due to the darkness but then again this place isn't exactly bright. Then suddenly you hear a voice coming from inside the house "Hello Phoenix."
"My name is not Phoenix" you say in a calm tone, trying to keep your cool.
"I'm sorry I don't know your real name." The voice says.
"Who are you?"
"I'm am here to help you adjust to your new form" The voice says
"My form? What are you talking about?"
"You are now a creature of myth and legend, a Phoenix, much better then your old human form . "
You can hear the voice chuckling to itself "I have provided you with a home for your fortnight in this world, before you move on"
Suddenly the door opens revealing a bright interior, you are temporarily blinded but when your eyes adjust you can see that the inside of the house is covered with Egyptian decorations.
"You may find the house a bit warm but it is to be expected, I am keeping the temperature high to speed up the growth of your feathers." The voice says
"What?!" you exclaim "What's this all about?"
"I built these worlds to keep the old myths alive" it says "and to provide an escape for the special few who still belive".
Your not sure what to make of all this but you know one thing for sure, dreams are never this strange.
"So what do I do?" You ask.
"You may explore outside the house, it is not a large island but there are some sites to see. You may also explore inside the house, there are books in the library and a garden in the back. The kitchen is fully stocked and there are three costumes hidden somewhere."
"Costumes?"
"Yes, they are your tickets to the next world, or you could always stay here."
"Why would I want to do that?"
"Well if you find this world to your liking, then their is no need to move on" the voice says, almost pouting
"And you wouldn't get to enjoy your immortality if you did move on"
"Immortality?" you say, stunned.
"One of the benefits of the Phoenix form" the voice says, gleefully
"But you will not truly be immortal, but will regenerate life forces after a time"
"So I'll just keep resurrecting myself?"
"That is correct, now I must go, I have stayed here for far too long. Good luck in your new life."
The presence of the voice disappears and you stand by yourself, wondering what you should do first.
While this was a very strange dream, you feel as if something has changed inside of you. You feel different, more alive and full of energy. Even your vision seems clearer than it ever has before.
