In a room star star star star halfstar

The sign reads

"Welcome all new travellers.

To continue you must go through a series of doors.

After going through you will pick a costume. You will then become a half- human and half that creature.

After a week(100 mins a hour,20 hrs a day,10 days a week) has passed you may morph and get another costume. To start of with you will only be able to become 40% human to 60% human.

If you put on a costume you will then become that creature, be teleported to it's home town and have to wait a week before being able to morph.

After 50 costumes you may change into one of your other costumes and become 30% to 70% human. When changing costumes you must wait at least an hour before you can change costumes again.

100 different species/gender costumes allows you to gender-morph and become 20% to 80% human

200 different species costumes allows you to combine costumes and become 10% to 90% human

400 different species costumes allows you to return to your world with no more morphing

And 800 different species costumes makes a polymorph and allows you to morph outside of this world.

Also if you have a costume like a centaur then the human part will always be human and is counted towards the human percentage.

Any gender/species transformation magic of yours can only change your gender(if you have at least 100 costumes) and the animal part to a different animal.

When you change into a different costume (that you already have) you may teleport to that species home town but you will have the week penalty where you have no costume changes.

If you die while wearing a costume you will be reborn at the local inn (or appropriate location ). If you have more then 100 costumes you will lose the costume you had when you died and go to an appropriate place for your next costume.

If you fail to make it out in 100 years(100 weeks in a year) one of your possible forms will be chosen and you will be permanently stuck in that form(apart from magic) until you die. Also there will be no possibility of going back to your world.

Also, one final note: should you take a female form and become pregnant, you won't be able to change your gender until the child is born, though the other aspects of your form may change (the child will change to match.) That is all, and good luck!

You realise that you have to do what the sign said to do and go through the doors and grab a costume.

Wings and Hooves 'N Stuff star star star star emptystar

The room is painted with a rocky, craggy path seemingly leading off around a corner of dark and jagged stone, but it is an illusion; you touch the wall with your hands when you try to follow. It's cold, here; snow falls from the very ceiling; not flakes of ice that a man-made machine would spit out, but crystalline flakes. Suddenly, it occurs to you that this whole insane scenario might be far more real than it seemed when you arrived.

Re-viewing the little golden female symbol above the door, you scowl. Who cares that much about gender, other than fetishists? Then you think, maybe this place was *built* by fetishists, and you shudder in dread.

You pick up the costumes and riffle through the pieces. Which one? Why? And did they really mean you'd have to be a girl? Ugh... Finally, you opt for a silky white fursuit with a pair of stuffed, gold spray-painted wings on the back.

You zip up the cold zipper. The suit comes up to your neck, so from the neck up you're human- GREAT SCOT! The suit latches to your flesh and squeezes! Your hooves pop out and clatter upon the ground as your new hairy tail follows suit, swatting snow out of the air like sub-zero flies! Heat on your neck marks the crawling advance of the suit as your ears stiffen and migrate, and your face cracks and snaps out into a wide-nostriled mare's!

"REE-HEE-HEE-HEE-HEE!" You whinny! Wings erupt from your back like violent petals. In the snow, you shake your flanks off as the world goes slowly white...

The white clears, revealing an idyllic meadow leading to a green mountainside. Up on a hill some five miles hence, a Greek-style temple is perched. So, what... is this Ancient Greece?

Modern Greece? Fictional Greece? Is it Greece at all? Staggering around on your two hooves, flexing your "hands" idly, you realize that in this hodgepodge of madness you've landed in, you'll have to make a strong decision to make heads or hooves of it.

A herd emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You have entered this costume with no idea what will be ahead of you. Wings outside of your back you whiny unsatisfied with the situation at hand. For all you know this could be the end, but you're a determined soul has made it so you will continue on. To find the next world, to find the next costume. With hooves firmly plastered onto the ground, you start to gallop towards the strange obstacle out in front of you. The first night would be spent here at this monolith.

The monolith that you had approached was pure white. With four large pillars supporting an overhang that looked much like greek architecture. Calmly your eyes scan over the area, perhaps there would be some sort of life that you could speak to. So far there was no such luck, just the sounds of your hooves underneath you. You stop directly underneath it - with the sun well into the sky you decide that there is still time to explore. Ahead of this monolith is a yellow stoned path. Cutting straight through the grassy hills surrounding you since you entered this world.

Carefully, you straighten a leg. Trying to test the land as you stand onto it. Deeming it safe you then start on your way across the path your hands touching the monolith’s carefully. Suddenly you are realizing you need to get used to your senses. Clumsy hooves don’t bode well, as you stretch your wings to get a good feel for those as well - not big enough to fly sadly. You pivot your ears forward to listen to the sounds around you - in which there are none. Just the silence and clicking of your hooves against stone. Who was here, who ran this place. There was so much you wanted to find out before you moved onto the next world in the next costume. That was the ultimate goal here to find the next costume and escape.

Soon there is a break in the path then. Beyond your sight is a group of horses, pegasus and non alike. There are about four standing in a group talking with each other. You cannot make out what they are saying just yet but their whispers were collectively raising. First the brown one perks it’s head up. With brown wings as well - you stop as the pegasus approaches your white form. Expecting him to attack you at first instead you are greeted warmly by the brown stallion.

“Greetings stranger, what brings you here?” He says as you take a moment to collect yourself. Did they know of the costumes, could you trust them with that information anyway. If you gave off the wrong information then it could be the end of you. You just wanted to move onto the next world before any trouble made itself present.

“Just passing through.” You finally answer as the Stallion then flashes you a soft smile. He turned to the other three.

“You are free to stay as long as you like here, there is a lake not far off surrounded by a forest. Plenty of grass to graze on and places to fly. These are my friends.” The stallion went to introduce the rest of the group there. Two mares and another stallion. It seemed like they were close but you reminded yourself while they were kind you could spend no more than maybe two nights here. Graciously however, you accept his offer to stay as it seemed there was a good source of water and food and you don’t know when you’ll be able to get that again.

You start along the path towards the lake that the stallion instructed was there. Happily as you were trying to get used to your clumsy hooves anyway. Your wings shifting along your back as you stopped under the note that your stomach has made it’s presence known. The hunger hits you suddenly, and you look around to notice a tree near the lake with apples hanging off of it. The Stallion had been right to say that there was plenty of food. You couldn’t imagine having to graze in a field. Though as you are now, you might not have minded regardless.

Carefully you walked over towards the tree. Craning your arms upwards to take a bite of the apple feeling the juices fill up your mouth. Your body is filled with bliss, jumping against the trunk you decide to gather a few of these apples. Snapping them from their connections to the tree and letting them fall. After maybe five had fallen you stacked them into a pile and headed towards the water's edge only a few feet away. Lowering your head to take up a drink, cupping the water within your hands. You didn’t even realize how sore and dry your throat was until now. Feeling the cold relief of the rushing water. As you raised your head, you silently wondered when you’d find out a way to get out of here. Towards the next costume.

Letting those thoughts fade from you, one of the mares had now made its way towards the river. A soft smile on her face as she took a drink from the lake. “So what made you come here?” she asked you. You weren’t really sure how to answer her at first. How much could you actually share, and how little could you share without it being considered suspicious.

“Just wandering around I guess..” You finally decide to say as she looked at you a little quizzical at first. Giving it a rest however she took one of the tree’s and collected some apples. Seemed like she didn’t want to talk to you if you weren’t going to give her details of the beyond or something of the sort. When there really wasn’t much out there. Just green hills and a blue sky, no trees and it felt almost artificial at first.

You knew that you could make no friends here, this world was one which you did not belong. Although somehow you regretted not taking the time to maybe enjoy this adventure even if it was for a small amount of time. After all - none of these horses and pegasi had to know you. They didn’t know where you came from, just you. Perhaps after this group though because it was obvious as a traveler you had shown them you didn’t want much to do with them.

Letting that thought fade from your mind, you moved over to the apples to take a bite. Each one feeling you’re weird teeth scrape against the fruit, happily crunching into the red object. The sweet flavors rolled over your tongue and down your throat. Happily you whiny and give a soft smile lifting your head at that instant to watch that mare for one more moment. Perhaps you just seemed strange considering you were pure white. So far you hadn’t seen a pegasus or horse just like yourself. As such your feet scraped against the floor. Screw it you decide, starting to meander over to her as she turned to look at you.

“Sorry I wasn’t so inviting before.” You said with a flick of your ear and looked off to the side. “Just a little stressed from walking for so long.” That was the only excuse you could think of. As the brown mare gave a soft smile then an laughed a little pushed her hand to her snout.

“It’s nothing, you just seemed like you needed some space. Me and my herd have spent generations here that’s just why it seemed off.” She told you as you nodded your head and looked at the lake.

“Is there any interesting places to go after this? Beyond the lake.” You asked. Looking past the large grassy hill. It seemed like there was a single tree on the top of that hill. Curiously your ears swiveled forward - maybe you should walk up to see.

“That’s the elder’s tree…..I’ve been too scared to go up there. Rumors have it though there’s a great forest beyond there with many herds in them. Past that an old castle - that’s all I know it’s forbidden to usually even mention the old castle.” She looked at you with a bit of concern. However you could only see her from the corner of your eye. Something about that old tree called to you. You turned to her, smiling once again.

“Don’t worry I’ll go up there when I leave, perhaps if I come back I can tell you all about that forest” You noticed a slight flick in her tail behind her. She laughed a little and waved her hand in amusement. You seemed pleased with that reaction, feeling a new sense of calmness about the situation.

“It’s getting late, come on let’s get some sleep.” You followed the mare back towards where the horses had met. All had fallen asleep as you would to. Next to the mare who had been so kind to you. Lowering your head on your arms as you curled up on the ground you started to drift off. Being enveloped by a nightmare of some sort. All was dark as you drifted into sleep - you would find yourself waking up with gasping breaths at this rate.

Climb the hill emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

As you woke up, it was a sudden snap at your attention. Eyes suddenly shooting open and your head raising. You could feel the hair making up your mane falling against your neck as it fell down. Once you felt like your skin had finally relaxed, you noticed that the group was still asleep. You didn’t plan on leaving yet but something about that elder tree was still calling to you. It was now or never to go check it out for yourself and see what lay beyond that large hill. With your heart pounding against your chest you tried to back away from the group without much noise. Turning around and heading back down to the lake.

At the lake you stopped at the edge, it looked like it wouldn’t take long to walk around it to that hill. You decide now is the time and head over to the right. Working your way towards the slope, you try to make sure you can keep your footing. Once you figured it out your wings helped you to balance as you climbed higher and higher. It turned out it was a bit farther up than you thought. Where the tree had looked so tiny before it was now started to tower well over you. That was the reason for its elder tree nickname of course. You leaned against the tree for a moment.

You arrived at the top of the hill with a triumphant huff as you stood next to the large tree. It must have been well over ten feet above you where the green started from the leaves. Your eyes scanned over it for a moment, nothing grew from it fruit wise but the tree itself felt like it had some sort of history behind it. Flicking your ears forward suddenly, you could hear the cry of a falcon. Stepping forward some more, it felt like the ground was going to give way under your feet.

Out in front of you was a large forest, the trees were so far together you couldn’t even see the ground underneath it. For as far as you could see that’s all there was - though probably streams and rivers ran through it no doubt. Excitement fills you and you have ever urge to start running over, but you promised yourself you’d spend at least another night here. Taking in a deep breath, you turn away and head back down the hill. A clear goal in mind now and you would get to it one way or another.

Stay a couple of days emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Back to the group it seemed like all of them were starting to stir. You smiled for a moment and went to greet them. For the next two days you spent your time there. Conversing and making friends until it was time to leave in your departure. The stallion who had first greeted you followed you up to the tree while the others stayed behind.

“You be careful out there.” he would say to you as you both looked at the forest. You looked towards him then and dipped your head. The Stallion seemed like he had more to tell you though. “Really, I heard my mare talk about how you wanted to go to the forbidden castle.” the stallion’s tail flicked. Your interest was obviously perked.

“Have to been to this forest?” you ask finally, as the Stallion seemed to have been waiting for you to ask that. He nodded his head and looked out, beginning his story.

“I heard the rumors that the castle is about a week and a half walks from here. Inside there was a great battle once and there’s something special inside. I grew up in the forest - no pegasi nor horse is allowed to even get near the castle. Most who go there… never come back. We assume them dead.” The Stallion's tail was rather quick but you appreciated those words. Regardless of what worlds lay beyond that - it was probably what you and previous travellers had been looking for in the first place. You shook your head anyway.

“Regardless of death, I must travel there. It calls to me like a screaming voice. Like this tree did.” You explained to him, at first the stallion seemed to change his expression. He was rather curious of you, but with a smile he dipped his head to you and looked towards the giant elder tree.

“You’ll find many herds in that forest - families. Perhaps they can give you more stories. Like this tree here, it’s said to hold the souls of our ancestors within it. To keep us safe from the barren lands near the unknown door back a few miles.” You looked back as he said those words. He must have been talking about where you came from, the last world and to the next. You absolutely had to move on though, that nagging feeling in you continued the one that reminded you that you definitely did not belong to this world. Which one you did belong to you did not know.

“Thank you for holding me up. I wish you well in your future.” You tell the Stallion. He gave no word just a look of thanks as you then took the first step into the forest. Down the hill steady on your wings and tail to balance you. As you didn’t want to fly with them, their length seemed to be for a different purpose. As such when you went past the tree line and looked back. You watched as the Stallion looked once more then turned back to tend to his own herd. You were now out on your own. In a forest - with sounds entering your ears that sent shivers down your spine.

In the forest emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

This first portion of the forest seemed so eerie. The trees blocked out most of the sunlight as you walked. Causing the forest floor to become cool, the sounds that surrounded the world around you almost felt like whispers. Leaving your ears to switch to whatever direction you thought the sounds were coming from. The air felt stagnant sticking to your pelt like a hot afternoon. Clammy was the best way to describe it as you travelled through with your heart pounding against your chest. Half hoping that it would end soon. Was there really some herds here like you thought.

You stopped for a moment, swearing that you heard a noise behind you. Turning your head for a moment, only to find that there was nothing there. Though that didn’t entirely make you feel better at the situation right now. Reminding yourself that all you needed to do was keep going straight until you got to that castle. After all the castle called to you, words that were unheard but you knew it wanted you to come near.

Giving yourself a quick shake you move on, legs determined to push forward. As you kept alert but tried not to let anything throw off your nerve. This forest while creepy, did not mean that it was anymore dangerous than anywhere else. This reminded you that you had a mission. Whatever could possibly happen you needed to keep moving forward. Taking in a deep breath that was just what you did until the trees broke out a little and you were met with a strange field that the sun shined upon.

There was a few flowers here and there in bloom. It broke out from the creepy forest and filled you with warmth. Stretching out your wings you felt as if your energy was returning to you. Carefully you stepped forward and found a small stream flowing through the area. You knew it was a little early but now was a better time than any to take a rest. Lowering your head and pulling your wings close to your side you took a drink. Looking at your own reflection of brown eyes and a thick white pelt that covered you. Ever since you put that costume on you looked no different than another pegasus.

Something popped up in your head, were you supposed to graze. Somehow you now found yourself missing the comfortable valley that had the lake and apple trees. Ignoring it you did manage to find a nice patch of grass in the sunlight and decided to start there. You had to keep up your energy so now was a better time than any to eat, drink and then catch some winks. A nap would do you good, ever since leaving you had felt a bit shaky and none of that could be good.

Finding a comfortable place to stand, you lowered your head. Listening once more to the world around you just to make sure that you wouldn’t be in any immediate danger. Shutting your eyes you tried to let the darkness take you. Though this time, it took some time for you to fall asleep. Thankfully, it seemed it was something that you fiercely needed. You had no issue falling into a deep sleep. Despite what was around you - your body was at ease.

Another? emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You woke up, with the sound of another horse sniffing near you. Dirty breath entered your nostrils making you cringe as you raised your head. Your snout pulled back as you noticed the rather large black pegasus standing in front of you. His eyes a deep green making you take a defiant step backwards. A feeling of dread filling you as your spine shivered before trying to stand your own ground.

Waking up to the stallion probably wasn’t your ideal adventure. Not to mention the eerie feeling that surrounded him. If you were to get to the next costume you needed no trouble, it figured that this dark forest was a bad idea. However else were you to get to the forbidden castle though? You couldn’t fly - and it was at least another week’s travel or so towards the place. You shut your eyes and took a deep breath, opening them again and the Stallion was still staring at you.

“Excuse me?” You asked, trying to hide the shakiness behind your voice. “What’s your name?” You figure maybe a friendly approach is the best decision. That way there wouldn’t be a fight or something you didn’t want happening.

“You have a hard path in front of you stranger?” The stallion suddenly spoke. “Are you sure you want to leave this place? It’s comfortable, you are comfortable.” You perked your ears forward furrowing your brows confused as you tilted your head to the side. Whatever was this stallion speaking of - the only thing you had thought of SINCE you got here from that door was moving onto the next world. A new world, and perhaps one you would be able to find yourself in.

“I have no desire to stay - only to get to the forbidden castle.” You spoke straightening your head and taking a confident step forward towards the stranger fists clenched. The Stallion's eyes glinted for a moment.
“But what friends do you have in unknown worlds? What do you have here - familiarity now. From that costume you placed on and became…. This.” You scoffed - how could this creature know of what you had known. There surely wasn’t more humans here were there? Or costume goers that you did not know of. You stamped a hoof on the ground more aggressively this time.

“The friends I make here are none of your business, they are each in turn beautiful but I must leave! The castle calls to my soul.” You neigh angrily at the creature, as he flicked his ears you still stand with a firey pit of rage in your stomach. The stallion seemed surprised if anything, you didn’t seem to want to back down. Perhaps it was another costume goer who had decided to stay in this world ignoring the call of the castle. However, you could not, sneering at the stallion you turned and started towards the castle once more. Trying to leave him behind and his hateful words. Trying to make sure you didn’t trip as you did.

Walk Away emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You shut your eyes as you continue to walk. Ignoring the sounds around you as you let other senses lead you along. As well as that tugging feeling you felt in your heart. As if a string had been tied around it and now the other end was being pulled. Your feet pounded against the forest floor, it suddenly felt like it was harder to walk. Your lungs struggled and you opened your eyes. The wind swirling around you - as you looked behind you say the stallion from before. Casually walking towards you as you tried to calm your sense of panic.

“Turn back while you can.” He hissed. “You will be damned if you go that far. The end of your journey is near.” The stallion seemed more angry with you then before. You turned to him and raised your small wings. Glaring at him as you were filled with a sense of need. That castle was a holy place it was not evil. If you could reach it you would move on with your life - you could move onto the next world.
“I will not, leave me now.” You yelled as you turned and started to run. Your hooves pounding against the forest floor as the wind began to become more wild. You forced yourself to continue though, there was nothing in this world that would stop you now. You only have a few more days left before it would have been two weeks spent in this world. That was far too long, as far as you were concerned. If you got to the next world there were new adventures to await you and also the possibility of finding your way out of this limbo like state.

Once you knew you were a good distance away, you started to slow down. Breathing heavily as you brought in air and exhaled it. Where you had stopped the tree’s broke out and revealed a large lake. Your eyes widened, the air around you had stopped howling and this place seemed a lot more peaceful than the last. You took a deep breath and exhaled it gratefully. Shutting your eyes for a moment as you smiled, wandering over to the edge of the lake to look at your reflection. At a time like this you had almost forgotten that you were human. Lowering your head to take a drink from the lake.

Your ears flicked to the sounds of birds flying around in the trees and above you. Lifting your head as another group of horses came into sight. This time you were a bit more on guard, eyes narrowing as you tried to see if any of them were unwelcome. The group of three didn’t seem threatening. A white and brown horse - a white stallion and another gray dappled stallion. They were walking close by to each other and when the dappled stallion saw you he beckoned you with a hoof to the ground.

Go to them emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

Hesitantly, you drew yourself close to the group standin up straight. Knowing you could not avoid them forever though, there was no point in being hostile just because of one bad experience. You dipped your head respectfully and the white stallion gave a chuckled neigh.

“Don’t be so tense - you look as if you’ve run into a ghost.” The white stallion conjectured as you smiled. It might as well have been a ghost. That black stallion - but you wanted to erase him from your memory. It had probably been a test trying to get you to turn back, no matter that gate was already closed. You shook your head free of the thought and lifted it from your bow.

“I’m looking for the forbidden castle, can you take me there?” you asked as the dappled stallion seemed a bit impressed. He looked you up and down first before trying to relax his ears.

“You mean the gated castle - only those beyond the valley call it forbidden. Though I don’t suggest going there unless you don’t plan on coming back.” He stated as the brown and white mare spoke finally.

“They must need to though Alikai. Look…. That aura just screams castle.” She turned towards you and it took you a moment to realize that she was staring onward with white blind eyes. Your aura? Was it bad, then again it was almost like that force you felt even now. Pulling you towards that castle where you knew your destiny lay.

“You know how to get to the castle? Can you take me?” You asked eagerly. Stepping forward as the dappled stallion seemed to still be staring you down. The stallion flicked his head for you to follow them.

“It’s about two days from here, if not three. So we better get going. I’m Alikai the mare is Fera and the white stallion that’s Ray.” He introduced them as you dipped your head. You didn’t really want to give your name. It tied you to this world more than they would figure. However Alikai didn’t seem to press you so you didn’t try to bother him about it to begin with. You simply would follow without saying much of anything else. The time ahead was dire - you felt like a hot ticking time bomb.

The first day was spent speaking a bit to the others. It seemed like the three were actually guardian’s of the castle. They had seen many come and go, and none ever returned. However they would note how you seemed different than the world as a whole. In which You did agree in that aspect. Not that you would give them any details - no details on the costumes the zipper that you zipped up to place the costume on. How you had a choice on many things, either way your mind was filled with many things as you spoke to them.

Alikai, the dapple was the leader of the three. Fera the blind one had senses that surpassed anyone among these lands. She was the seer of these lands and often would conjecture on how quiet you were. When you told the group of your adventure with the black stallion. They noted it may have been a spirit trying to deter you from your path. As such you thought if you stayed here for any longer than needed then you would be in some sort of mortal danger. Your own soul could only take so much. That first night…. You finally fell asleep with no nightmares and peacefully regained your energy.
