Having Nothing emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

As much as it pains you to leave it all behind, you do not want to have to go thought the pain of being beaten into the ground by a bunch of people you thought you knew. Realizing that you left all your belongings back at the encampment doesn’t make your decision easier, but you hold on to your resolve – that is one of the rare things you still have – and start walking in the opposite direction.

Well, you don’t exactly have nothing: you still have some clothes, even if they are a bit too large for you. You felt more comfortable with them, even if you have no visible privates as a dragon or a Murr. Now that you know that you might get beaten up for you fur color, you are glad for them – at least they hide you a little, even if the fact that your face and hands are completely exposed blows the whole point of hiding your body.

Even if they would most probably murder you if they saw you again, you start to wonder what they are doing. You know
everyone’s morning routine by heart, and you play it in your head like a record. Your… ‘friends’ must be a bit hungover from last night. You try to remember who was the one puking as you walk, and try to imagine his state at the moment. For now, you can’t bring yourself to hate them; the wound is to fresh for you to poke in it. You don’t erase several years of common life just in the snap of the fingers like Blurred would do.

Blurred, on the other hand, that’s someone you are hating pretty intensely at the moment. Whatever bullcrap he served you about not wanting to hurt you is a complete lie: you are holding him entirely responsible for every single hit you received. It barely was the minimum, in your eyes, to heal your wounds. You should ask him for a compensation next time you see him.

Eventually, you realize that your thoughts could be a little more positive at the moment, and you start to look around. It is a relatively nice day, for the season: the wind calmed down a little. There is no snow, but the cold toned down the vivid green of the grass into a dull yellow. In the sunlight that peeps time to time through the clouds, you see that your fur is actually very light yellow, but you don’t think that they will be making any difference if you go back to the encampment. You aren’t brown, but they are, and that makes all the difference to them.

Would you have stepped in if all your friends would have started to beat up an innocent albino Murr? The first reply that comes to your brain is yes, but they you realize that one the spot, you would tend to assume that the white stranger may have caused some harm in the past. Such arbitrary hate escapes your understanding.

You never quite realized how unfair this racism thing was until you were concerned. Now, if you were to go back to your home, you would at least try to do something for it to stop. For the first time in a while, you indulge about dreaming to get back home. Too bad it’s all a dream…

That is when you stop and realize that they might be a way, a way that doesn’t include giving all kind of disgusting favors to Blurred. Your informer from last night said that there had been an elf implied in your kidnapping; an elf that knows how to travel to the Other World. If you start looking around for him, you might find some clues to how to get back home.

Or, maybe if you go to the king of a country that still holds a portal on their land, they might let you go back to your world. There is still a chance, and you might be able to grab it.
