First the dragon tf is instant and the personality change is mostly instant.
It suffers from too many characters and when they die they are quickly forgotten. When their is a chance to revive one they do not take it up despite the dead person being close.
The main plot seems to be mostly an excuse to get the characters into the dragon area
Overall I cannot recommend it as a transformation book. And only a weak recommendation as a general story
