The first chapters are very slow with lots of irrelevant details. Once you get past that point you get to the plot
Unfortunately the plot is very simple and the main conflict is quickly solved without any issues
The true mastermind behind it introduced very late into the book and seems to have a very simple reason for causing everything and no real plan for waht happens after
