While I did enojy reading this one, in the end it is still pretty much a fight, get stronger, fight stronger monsters book.
Character wise while we see a bunch of humans interacting among themselves, the only interactions for the main character is breif conversations with the queen. Their is a pet but that is pretty one sided
Transformation wise, other then the start their is a mention that most ants are female but that is it. This is what brings it down to a 2 instead of a 3 for me.
