While the story starts off good, the transformation has little relevance after the first few chapters
Story wise it feels more like a series of books that have little connection with each other. I would separate them into three main ones.
The first is the human interaction. This is the best of the three. We see the MC interacting with humans and how they see him. The main problem I have with this one is the other characters do not get an ending
By the second part the story is pretty much snake finds group, becomes their god and has to run away
Overall if you are looking for something to fill the time, this could fill that need
